Transformation using grids

This week we found an accredited image on Explore and selected it to use on our page. We then put a 5x5 grid on it so we could copy the image and make it original. Mrs Minehan selected the first two images so we could understand the process, then we got to choose our own image. We found the first one of the korus quite challenging to get the shape correct and while the second one of the tree was an easier shape, the colours needed to be explored but that part was a lot of fun. The students chose their favourite image and blogged about it, so please have a look on their individual blogs to see their amazing efforts. Have you ever tried to transform an image using a grid? How did you find the process?

Hello room 1 kumara school I hope your having a wonderful friday at school, that's really cool that you found something challenging and enjoyed doing your activity, if i was doing that activity i would get really frustrated because it sounds so hard, and you also gave me very good tips about what I might be doing at intermediate next year ka kite from Riley.
